If you and your pet love the outdoors, head to a favorite park, beach, or trail where they can run and explore! The more comfortable and familiar they are with the environment, the more relaxed and natural your interactions will feel.
  • What if my pet doesn't do well in new places? Stick with what they do know! A lifestyle session is all about real life, so if your dog feels most confident in your backyard or your cat won't leave the living room, then that's the perfect place to shoot! It's better to have a calm, comfortable pet than to push them into unfamiliar settings for the sake of scenery.

There are designated off-leash areas where your pup can run free, chase sticks, or get the zoomies out of their system. If your dog enjoys splashing around, you'll love the peaceful river spots where they can take a refreshing dip. The park's natural beauty and variety of terrain make it ideal for capturing playful, candid moments during a photo session.
  • Del Monte Beach: Located in Monterey, Del Monte Beach is another fantastic spot, especially for pups who enjoy a little bit of socializing but also value their personal space. This wide stretch of sandy shoreline offers plenty of room for everyone, so it never feels overcrowded. Whether your dog wants to run along the water’s edge, roll in the sand, or simply lounge and enjoy the ocean breeze, this beach has something for every personality. The golden hour light here is absolutely magical for beachside portraits!
  • Rip Van Winkle Open Space: Tucked away in Pacific Grove, this spot is ideal for dogs who love meeting new friends and exploring new trails. Rip Van Winkle Open Space offers a relaxed, peaceful vibe with winding trails through the trees, open grassy areas, and plenty of natural backdrops for photos. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a place nestled amongst the trees to connect with your dog.
